Sarod Concert
Greetings Bay Area Music Lovers!
Kalashree is excited to present two extremely talented musicians from India, Pratik Shrivastava (Sarod) and Tejovrush Joshi (Tabla) in a house concert in Sunnyvale, CA on Saturday April 25th, 2026 at 4:30 pm.
Pratik was initiated into the art of playing the Sarod at the age of six by his grandfather Pandit Rabi Chakraborty, himself an eminent Sarod player of the “Maihar Gharana”, and nurtured the art form under the tutelage of his uncle Dr. Rajeeb Chakraborty ever since. Pratik has also received guidance from Pandit Ajoy Chakraborty and Pandit Tejendra Narayan Majumdar.
Tejovrush's journey with the tabla spans over 14 years, under the expert guidance of the late Pt. Bapusaheb Patwardhan ji, an esteemed exponent of the Farukhabad gharana and a direct disciple of the legendary Ustad Ahmedjaan Thirakhwa Khansahab. Tejovrush's talent has graced numerous prestigious stages across India and abroad. His artistry has earned him recognition and accolades at both state and national levels. Additionally, he has had the privilege to collaborate with esteemed maestros spanning generations, enriching his repertoire through vocal, instrumental, and dance collaborations.
